Daria Verfaillie: Oh yeah, Buffalo (as in New York), been there, done that. Having lived in western NY for twenty plus years, I understand your situation. First an open rig is what I use, like to see if things are riding well. It really sucks when you get to the final point, open the enclosed unit to see a strap broke or can loose and your scoot is down and been bouncing around. Unless you are planning on making great use of a trailer, it's money best spent on a rental (check site listed) versa purchase of a quality hauler. With an open unit, especially in New York winter, you'd be best advised to cover with a excellent quality tarp, properly secured. First thing I'd do, after reaching destination, is find a car wash and run through before stowage. Getting the sludge and salt off before locking her down. Oh and one more thing, cover the air box to keep debris and crap from getting the filter filthy. That fine salt mist will not only ruin any paint or exposed metal and rub! ber but is hell on the combustion chamber....Show more
Corrina Faro: From Jim Uhaul, he still rents trailers.
Ismael Sixon: Uhaul rents flat bed trailers with like 3 foot tall rails.
Fritz Hawkey: some uhaul dealers still rent flat bottom carry all mini trailers that are open air, but they are being phased out due to lack of need. so finding one will be a coin toss. good luck.
Davis Zou: U-Haul rents MOTORCYCLE trailers at 19.99/day!Forget any others. The motorcycle trailer is just that - for motorcycles. It comes with built in ramps.Supply your own tie down straps, they don't come with the trailer.
