Bud Espenshade: the most recent xbox hardware update uses the Valhalla chipset they use a smaller die count and are pretty much red ring proof, they've been out for several months now. Project Natal isn't a new xbox version its merely an accessory that plugs into your xbox.

Anyways, the xbox once had a popular modchip that was used to download games to the harddrive for play later on. Xbox live would search for this (even when the xbox was turned off, as long as an Ethernet cable with internet was plugged in) and the person was permanently banned from xbox live. the same thing was done with original xbox "soft mods" however a chip was later developed that wasn't able to be detected by xbox live(I have no idea how.) Is the "rrod" some kind of modchip? clarify please....Show more
Barton Sease: i dont think so ive g! ot rrod before but i jus pulled da cord out left it 4 a daY and then it worked again dont worry about it rrod is rare just dont leave your xbox on 4 more than 12 hours and buy a cooling fan hoped it helped man
