How can I combine Garden Solar lights into one unit?

Mickey Isle: Build Home Solar Power - http://Solar.eudko.com/?tqV

Hye Caulley: I don't think there is really an easy way around this. I say this because even if you could simply add the other LEDs to the single solar unit, you will likely run our of battery much much quicker (maybe 3x as quick). A typical little garden light with a single led will consume about 20mA, so if you put three in there in parallel (can't do series, you won't enough voltage) then you will consume 60mA. With that stated, even if you are ok with 60mA draw and shorter battery life then you have to look at the internal circuit and resistors that allow your lamp to be lit properly, they likely are not designed to handle that additional 40mA of current. You have only a couple options, either take the led and circuit with it and incorporate it in the single unit (each circuit ran in parallel with respect to the solar panel output) or buy a single panel and build your own custom setup. In conclusion! , I don't think there is a really easy way to do what you want to accomplish. If you don't care about the lamp then simply throw three leds in one and see what happens. They are fairly cheap anyways (typically)....Show more

Robin Weelborg: === the LED power in the unit will not support 3 lamps LED .... if you want to use 110volt LED's and that light fixture you can do that by house power == take a look at this Malibu brand garden lighting and it is low power with the transformer that will use a photocell or timer -- check it at Lowe's ==== http://video.search.yahoo.com/search/video?p=how+t... == this web site has good tutorials and information about the garden lighting = use it in the path, tree, garden ..
